Sorta dead...but still mostly resting.

It's been a long time coming but it's time to stick the final nail in the coffin that was the Islands in the Sky comic book.  I know this is going to really disappoint the three regular visitors to the site...though I'm not sure my mother and myself count.  Seriously though, the people who were still waiting for the second book...I could probably count them on one hand.  Still, I'm very sorry...the comic, at least in its current format, will not ever be renewed.  I will use this site temporarily to give updates to those who are still interested in the Project IITS game but will eventually open up a new site devoted to the game project...which is still underway.

I hope that I will have more to post about the game but don't hold your breath...I'm working at a new game company...that's still not working on Project IITS.  One of these days, when Venus aligns with the Sun...wait, nevermind...when, uh...Venus, Mars, and the Object Formerly Known as the Planet Pluto ALL align with the Sun, I'll have the support and time I need to get the Project IITS game project off the ground for real.  I wanted to do this with a bang rather than this whimper...to switch everything over to the game when it was really in full production but that day hasn't come yet, sorry.

Finally, to all the people who ever bought the comic, visited the site, posted a supportive comment...to all the people who believed in us...with all my heart, thank you.  I know the project isn't the same without the comic or the wonderful art created by Genevieve but I promise not to let Kayli and Gordo die...they'll live on in the game and hopefully, much more.  Thank you, thank you, thank you...a thousand times thank you.  If we even have one fan left...I'd continue the project just for you.

(sound of crickets chirping)

P.S. Uh, by the way...this means that the store really is closed.

(sound of someone clearing their throat then sniffing loudly)

Yeah...

Update: In my haste to close down the site, I restricted comments to "members" of this blog only, not realizing that means ONLY myself.  I thought "members" meant the IITS Readers of the blog.  Those of you who emailed me directly with your well wishes, thank you!  I opened commenting back up again...BTW. =P

  1. I had just pulled my comic out of the sleeve to give it a read again and immediately came here to see if anything had happened with this.

Sad to hear you guys are ending this, but I'm excited for the game none-the-less.

    Good luck in the future!

Thanks for dropping by! We're definitely still working on the game and your support is much appreciated. =)

P.S. If we can reboot the comic in the future, we definitely will.

  3. Awwww, how sad. "Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." Hats off to you and Genevieve for all of your effort, hard work, and devotion.

  5. After reading issue 1 that I purchased at Comic-con San Diego some years ago (Joseph held my Steam Gun^~^)I'm sad to see that Kayli and Gordo didn't get the recognition they should have. I will be keeping my eye on this blog in hopes that something fortunate will come your way. Good luck to all those who were involved in the project.

    1. Hullo!

Thanks for dropping by! I must have a picture of you somewhere in my Picasa album but I couldn't find it! =(

I still believe in IITS and Kayli and Gordo and I'll do my best to bring something cool to fruition for the people, like yourself, who believed in us and supported us. =)
