Baby Manty

Hey Guys!

I went to my friend Emmy's house to try out felting for the first time. If you aren't familiar with the process, all you do is grab a bunch of fluffy colored wool and stab the heck out of it with a sharp needle equipped with a barb at the tip, which weaves the wool into a tight mass. You can make other shapes of different colors and stick it anywhere as long as you stabbity-stab it good. I decided to make our little Manty mascot. It took a few hours or so to finish him but I had a lot of fun! You can't see it from these photos but I even gave him a white belly. I definitely want to do another felting project again! ^__^

  3. Who knew that stabbing with a purpose could result in something so cute.

    Seeing the Manty hat with the felt Manty makes me wonder if Manty has any younger siblings, and if Kali gets to meet them at any point.

    If she did I like to think that she'd give them a name like Manteeni.

  4. Wow, the baby Manty looks like he's made out of either steel wool or coarse cotton candy. His adorability is off the charts! Will you be bringing these to Comic Con this year? BTW, I hope you guys have a great time and can get a chance to leave the booth for a while when things are slow. I know you'll make many more fans and meet up with current fans too~ Enjoy!

  5. Hi KidKobun! Thanks again for stopping by our booth at Comic Con 2010! You're so sweet and it's always a pleasure to see you. I'm glad you like the baby Manty!

    Hi FifthFanZac! Hahah that's a pretty cute idea-- Manty's younger sibling: Manteeni! XD Manty is already a dwarfed version of his cousins, too! That would be so cute to see bite-sized Manteenies following Kayli around like ducklings!

    Hi Hamasuki! Thanks so much, I'm glad you dig the lil' fuzzy version of Manty, and yes, we did bring him to SDCC this year! We had a blast and I actually got to see a lot of the show for the first two days!

    From now till APE I'll be busy on finishing everyone's commissions! ^__^;
